Everything you need to know about Nitvar ESG reports, our process, pricing, and how we can help your business.

About the Reports
An ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) report scores a company on how it performs across three key dimensions: its environmental impact, how it treats its people, and how well it's governed. Increasingly, UK businesses need ESG scores to qualify for government contracts, pass supplier due diligence, attract investment, or demonstrate compliance to clients and partners. Our reports give you a verified, independent score you can share with confidence.
Every report includes:
  • Overall ESG score (0–100) and letter grade (A–F)
  • Individual E, S, and G scores with supporting evidence
  • Red flags section — key risks flagged with sources
  • Data sources cited for every data point
  • Executive summary suitable for sharing with clients or tendering bodies
  • Sector benchmark context (where available)
The full Intelligence Brief additionally includes company financial health, director analysis, ownership structure, and strategic risk narrative.
Standard reports are delivered within 48 hours of order confirmation and payment. For urgent requirements, contact us at hello@nitvar.com to discuss expedited delivery.
We can assess any company registered at Companies House. The depth of the report depends on the data publicly available. Larger companies typically have richer data (gender pay gap reports, more news coverage, sustainability disclosures), while smaller private companies may have limited public information — we'll always be transparent about data gaps in the report.
Currently we focus on UK-registered companies where our data sources (Companies House, Environment Agency, HSE) are available. International coverage is planned for a future release. If you have an urgent requirement for a non-UK company, contact us and we'll advise on feasibility.
Data & Accuracy
We source data exclusively from authoritative public records:
  • Companies House — filings, directors, compliance
  • Environment Agency — permits, incidents, enforcement
  • Health & Safety Executive — workplace incidents, notices
  • UK Government Gender Pay Gap Service
  • Published annual reports and sustainability statements
  • News and media (English-language)
We do not use unverified third-party databases or AI-generated factual claims. See our full methodology page for details.
Our scores reflect the publicly available evidence at the time of report production. They are as accurate as the underlying data allows. Where data is incomplete or unavailable, we note this explicitly. Scores should be treated as a research starting point — not a definitive audit. Government data sources typically lag by 6–12 months.
Many small UK companies have no formal ESG disclosures — this is normal and expected. In these cases, we score based on regulatory records (EA, HSE, Companies House compliance) and note the absence of voluntary disclosure. A low score due to lack of disclosure is different from a low score due to enforcement actions — both are clearly distinguished in the report.
Pricing & Orders
Our standard ESG Report is priced at £500. The full Company Intelligence Brief (which includes financial health, director analysis, and strategic risk) is £1,500. White-label options for accountants and law firms are available — contact us for volume pricing. All reports include a free initial assessment summary.
Before you commit to a paid report, we run a free preliminary ESG summary — a high-level overview of publicly available data and an indicative score range. This takes up to 24 hours and helps you decide whether a full report is warranted. No payment required, no obligation.
Yes. If you need regular reports (e.g. ongoing supplier monitoring, annual reassessment, or client delivery as an advisor), we offer annual subscription pricing and volume discounts. Contact hello@nitvar.com to discuss your requirements.
White Label & Partners
Yes — we offer white-label reports for accountants, law firms, and management consultants who want to deliver ESG intelligence under their own brand. Reports are formatted with your logo and firm name. Contact us at hello@nitvar.com to discuss partner pricing.
You order reports on behalf of your clients, receive them under your branding, and deliver them as part of your advisory service. You set your own margin. Many advisors use Nitvar reports as part of due diligence packages, tender support, or annual ESG health checks. We handle all the research — you focus on the client relationship.
Compliance & Legal
Our reports are research documents, not formal compliance submissions. They are structured to align with common ESG frameworks (E/S/G pillars, materiality) and can support your CSRD or UK SDR preparation — but they are not a substitute for a formal audit or assurance engagement. They are best used as a starting point or screening tool.
Our reports are research documents intended for due diligence, tender qualification, and internal decision-making. They are not certified audits and should not be presented as such. However, because all data points are cited with sources, the underlying evidence can be independently verified and referenced. We recommend confirming acceptability with the relevant body before submission.
